Letter of Appreciation to Richards Corporation

I am writing you to express my sincere appreciation for the outstanding performance of the Richards team during our recently completed skylight replacement project in Stamford, Connecticut. We approached Gus Brennan in early May regarding demolition of three 87' by 37' atrium skylights and replacement with a system of steel trusses and built up roofing. The system required provisions for future smaller skylights and installation of a temporary weather protection over the future skylight openings. The project needed to be priced out and executed while we were still having drawings developed and needed to be completed prior to fit out of the building which was to commence in early July. Gus rolled up his sleeves and went to work with us and our architect/engineer to develop different schemes to perform the work while providing interim weather protection for the building and expediting the development of the shop drawings from the suppliers. In spite of the intense schedule Gus was able to solicit bids for the work and utilized a combination of your team's approach and input from us and the subcontractors to employ the best possible practices for a timely and cost efficient job. Chuck Matula of Richards Corp orchestrated the landlord needs for the permit and on several occasions provided coordination and expediting of the material suppliers in a manner that can only be described as miraculous. Richards foreman Brian Young manned the job and worked tirelessly to get the old skylights demoed and the new structural steel in place at a rapid pace while still maintaining a safe and organized job site and keeping the rain out of the building in spite of several attempts by mother nature to flood it! The quality of process not only exceeded our needs but also impressed the landlord who has remarked that he is appreciative we introduced him to Richards and envisions this as the beginning of a strong working relationship for him as well.

As I look back on the whole job I still can not believe how quickly Richards was able to bring all the pieces together to complete this task. Equally pleasant in reflection is how in spite of an incredibly intense execution, Richards was able to beat the budgetary estimate, work safely and provide us with an ongoing earned value report outs as the project progressed.

You should be extremely proud of your entire team that was involved in this project from start to finish. Richards Corp has my strongest endorsement as a company that can deliver quality and value, even under the most challenging conditions. Please express my sincerest appreciation to the whole team and especially Messrs Brennan, Matula and Young.

Sincerest Regards,

Re : Letter of Recommendation for Richards Corporation

It is with great pleasure I write this letter of recommendation for Richards Corp. Our relationship started out almost three years ago with one project and today , Richards Corp. is working on three different projects for Baker Residential.

They have proven themselves to be an extremely reliable subcontractor and most importantly a very responsive subcontractor when we have required additional services. Their vast experience and highly qualified personnel have been a great asset to our organization and they have helped in numerous situations with cost saving value engineering suggestions.

Both the field and office management of this company is a pleasure to work with and we look forward to a continued mutually rewarding relationship.

If I can be of any additional assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Joseph P. Conlan

The purpose of this letter is to express my gratitude to Richards Corporation for a job well done on the water main portion of the Reconstruction of Allen Street. It is not often that I take the time to draft a letter such as this; however, the uniqueness and problematic nature of this particular project as well as the dedicated professionalism to which your crew worked to complete the project, I believe, warranted a sincere "thank you".

Your crew made the complexity of the project more workable through their knowledge and experience with water main installation and their ability to schedule the work in and around what, at times, seemed like a myriad of other intermingled projects. It is worth noting that their ability to use "reason" and their willingness to go "above and beyond" for the good of the project contributed greatly to the overall success of the project. You are to be commended for nurturing the sense of "right" within your company.

I look forward to working with Richards Corporation on the next project

Sincerely,

Craig Patla, P.E.
