Brief: |
Construction Management project consisting of the removal of (3) existing, 36’ wide by 80’ long skylights and the installation of new skylight trusses consisting of a tube type steel truss, with metal decking, along with a EPDM roofing. The removal of the existing and installation of new was a fast track project, completed in less then three months. Two cranes were used during this installation, one for the removal and the other for the install. One of the main focuses of this project was to minimize rain water from entering the building during construction. We needed to collect and divert rain water at the open skylight areas.
General Electric requires all projects a Specific Health and Safety Plan along with a Task Hazard Analysis (THA) for any potentially hazardous conditions that may be encountered.
