Richards has worked all over the State in just about every State sector. From the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CONNDOT) to the Connecticut Department of Public Works (CTDPW) to various local municipalities.
CTDPW - Richards was instrumental in the completion of the additions and renovations to the Connecticut State Police Academy through one of the most severe winters on record. Richards implemented special equipment to keep the ground from freezing and continued to work daily on making sure the work of others was protected from ice/snow/freeze. Most importantly the project was turned over on time and on budget.
CONNDOT - Ever work in a commercial jetliner flight zone at an International Airport? Richards has. Richards reconstructed Route 140 in Windsor Locks right in the flight path of landing airliners at Bradley International Airport. The project consisted of drainage improvements, realignment of the existing roadway, repaving and new traffic signals. Richards managerial and TEAM approach kept every flight in this sensitive zone on time without interruption.
Local Municipalities - From everything from the reconstruction of historic Allen Street in Plymouth, CT. to the installation of sanitary sewers for just about the entire Town of Thomaston, to the installation of sanitary sewers around Bantam Lake, the environmentally sensitive, largest natural lake in the State, we've seen and done a lot.
